Up To $150 Million, Microsoft Corp and Yahoo Inc Deal

Microsoft Corp and Yahoo Inchave been reached an agreement in July and signed the final contract last week. If regulators approve their proposed internet search partnership, may accelaterate up to $150 million in reimbursements due Yahoo inc.

During the first 3 years of their contract, Yahoo will receive $50 million installments from microsoft and also get to keep 88% of their income from the ads, eventhough Microsoft will be supplying the techology. In another their agreement in July, Yahoo is given the option to continue showing ads from other clients alongside search result in Korea and Hongkong.

 

It won't receive the same revenue guarantees from Microsoft as other countries covered in their proposed partnership if this right.

Google inc's dominance in the lucrative internet search market. To undercut that, Microsoft and Yahoo want to team up in a bid and are hoping that their alliance will be approve the antitrust regulators.
